Spicy Grilled Chicken Feet

“In Mamelodi we called grilled chicken feet ‘Chicken Kwasa’, we don’t know why, lol but it sounds cool. Chicken kwasa is normally sold to school kids as a break time snack by local vendors. This is such a big hit with the locals.” 


Serves: 4-6

Prep time: 40 mins 



500g Chicken Feet, cleaned 

2 tsp Smoked Paprika

2 tsp Curry Powder

1 tsp Salt 

1 tsp Black pepper 

3 tsp Thai Mixed Spice

2 tsp All Spice 

1 tsp Cumin 

1 tsp Coriander 

1 tsp Chili Powder

1/4 C Sunflower Oil

1/4 C BBQ Sauce 



Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius. 

Line baking tray with foil. 

Par-boil the chicken feet for about 18-20 mins. Drain and pat dry. Mix all the spices, oil and BBQ sauce together and coat the chicken feet.

Grill in the oven for 20-25 mins until cooked.

Serve warm with a starter.
