720 g cake flour
15 ml salt
15 ml sugar
10 g instant yeast
+- 375 ml lukewarm water
1 egg, beaten
65 ml oil
1 ½ cups frozen/ canned mixed veggies
Mix together flour, salt, sugar and yeast.
Make a joke in the middle and pour in lukewarm water, egg and oil. Mix
together and knead for 10 minutes, to form a soft dough.
Leave it to rise until double it’s size. Knead again and transfer to a
greased heat proof dish.
Pour water in a large saucepan 1/3 of the way. Bring to the boil. Place
bowl with dough into the saucepan.
Cover pot tightly and steam for 60 minutes. Replenish water if it goes dry.
It’s done when testing skewer comes out clean and dough gives off a hollow
South African Food.
