SPICY PEAR CAKE

INGREDIENTS:
200 g brown sugar
100 g margarine
2 eggs 
5 ml cinnamon
3 ml all spice
5 ml ground ginger
240 g cake flour
1 can pear halves, drained
1 cup raisins 🍇
Warm custard or Whipped Cream to serve. 

 

METHOD: 

Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Grease and flour a 20 cm ring baking tin.
Cream sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in eggs.
Sift together dry ingredients. Fold into butter mixture.
Chop pears 🍐 and add into mixture. Add sufficient pear juice till desired consistency.
Spoon into cake tin. Bake for 45-50 minutes.
Turn out. 

Serve hot or cold with Cream or Custard.
