SKILLET FOCACCIA

INGREDIENTS: 

DOUGH: 

3/4 cup warm water 

1/2 tsp granulated sugar 

1 1/2 tsp yeast 

2 Tbls olive oil 

2 cups flour 

1/2 tsp salt  

 

PARMESAN BRUSH: 

3 Tbls butter, melted 

1 Tbls grated Parmesan cheese 

1/2 tsp Italian seasoning  

 

METHOD:

Add the dry ingredients for the dough together. Add in yeast. Make a well in the centre. 

Add in water and oil.  Knead for 10 minutes. Leave to rise for an hour.  

Preheat oven to 200 degrees C.  

Grease the skillet.  Roll out the dough to the size of the skillet.  Place in the oven for 20 minutes.  

Make indentations in the dough with your fingers.  

Mix the Parmesan mix in a bowl. Brush dough with half the butter.  

Place the skillet in the oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown. 

Brush with remaining butter.  

Leave to cool.  

Slice and serve!
