SAVORY PUMPKIN SCONES

INGREDIENTS:

2 ¾ flour

1/3 cup cup sugar

1 Tbls baking powder

1 tsp salt

1 tsp ground cinnamon

¼ tsp ginger

¼ tsp nutmeg

¼ tsp all spice

½ cup cold butter

2 cups crystallized ginger/ choc chips

2/3 cup mashed, cooked pumpkin

2 large eggs

METHOD:

Mix together all the dry ingredients.

Cut in the butter until mixture is crumbly.

Stir the ginger or choc chips into the dry mixture.

Whisk the eggs and pumpkin together. Add to the dry ingredients to form a
dough.

Shape onto lined baking tray.

Brush with milk for a glaze.

Place in the freezer for 30 minutes. Optional **

Bake at 200 degrees Celsius for 22-25 minutes.
