PEANUT BUTTER ONION AND HERB BREAD

There’s nothing like home-made bread. Especially with some delicious soup
on a sombre day.

Absolute yum!

INGREDIENTS:

300 g whole-wheat bread flour

5 ml salt

10 ml dried thyme

15 ml brown sugar

10 g instant dry yeast

250 ml warm water

½ onion, grated

2 cloves garlic

65 ml chopped coriander

125 ml crunchy peanut butter

METHOD:

In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt and thyme.

Make a hollow Centre.

Drizzle the sugar in water and add the yeast.

Leave it for 10 minutes.

Add the liquid to the Centre on the dry ingredients. Knead.

Add the onion, garlic and coriander to the dough.

Knead for 10 minutes.

Leave the dough to rise for 1-2 hours.

Knock the dough down. Roll it out. Smear the peanut butter in and fold it
in.

Leave it to rise in a greased bread tin.

Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 45 minutes.

Knock on the bread once done baking. It should make a hollow sound.

Serve with some butter, jam or cheese.
