PARMESAN SCONES

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup flour

1 cup pastry flour

1 Tbls baking powder

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

¼ tsp salt

2 tsp dried basil

¼ cup cold butter, pieces

2 large eggs, 1 separated

½ cup buttermilk

METHOD:

Mix together all your dry ingredients and cut in the butter until it
reaches a crumbly texture.

Beat together 1 egg and egg yolk with buttermilk.

Stir into the dry ingredients.

Shape and glaze with egg whites.

Bake at 200 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes.
