8 slices bacon 🥓
4 eggs 🥚, lightly beaten
3/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup chopped chives
Salt and pepper
3 Tbls butter
4 slices crusty bread 🍞, sliced
4 lettuce leaves
8 slices tomato 🍅
Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Cook bacon in oven till golden and crisp, about 15 minutes. Drain on paper towel.
Meanwhile, whisk together eggs 🥚, cream and chives. Season.
Soak bread in egg mixture. 3 minutes on each side.
In a large skillet, melt butter. Cook bread till golden and crisp around edges about 3 minutes per side.
To serve, later lettuce, tomato and bacon on each French toast and sprinkle with chives. Substitute with any topping of your choice.
