CHOCOLATE LOAF CAKE

INGREDIENTS:
175 g softened butter
175 g castor sugar
3 eggs
120 g self-raising flour
80 g ground almonds
3 ml baking powder
125 ml milk
60 ml cocoa powder
50 g chocolate chips
Extra chocolate for decorating

METHOD:

Preheat oven to 160 degrees C. Grease a loaf tin.
Beat butter and sugar with electric beater till light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs, flour, almonds, baking powder, milk and cocoa till smooth.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Spoon into loaf tin.
Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown and risen.
Leave it to cool in the tin. Turn out into wire wrack.
Melt the extra chocolate and drizzle over the cake.
Let it set before slicing.
