BEEF SHISH KEBAB

INGREDIENTS:  

2 1/2 tsp garlic powder 

1 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg 

1 1/2 tsp ground cardamom  

1 tsp all spice 

1 tsp paprika 

Salt and pepper  

1.5 kg beef πŸ₯© tenderloin, cut into cubes 

1 red onion, cut into same size as meat 

2 bell peppers (green + yellow) cubed  

 

MARINADE: 

1 red onion, thinly sliced 

Juice of 2 lemons πŸ‹  

1 cup olive oil 

1 cup dry red wine 🍷   

 

METHOD:

Prepare 10-12 skewers. Soak in water if wooden (at least 1 hour). 

In a bowl, mix together spices to make spice rub for meat. Season meat.  

In a large dish, combine marinade ingredients. Add meat to marinade. Mix well with your hands. Cover and refrigerate overnight.  

Leave out to room temperature for 1 hour before grilling.  

Lightly oil a gas grill. Thread meat, onions, peppers onto skewers. Season with more black peppers.  

Place kebabs on the grill. Grill for a total of 8 minutes, turning once midway through. While grilling, paint meat with marinade.  

Remove from heat, leave to stand for 5 minutes before serving.   

Serve warm as Starter or with Salad.
